WE LOVE A LITTLE GOOD TROUBLE:

Good Tunes
in the Library,
Session #02
with Alex Albrecht
- December 2023

We danced, we drank, we chatted and we basked in the awe of Alex’s musical genius - a perfectly honed evolution of picturesque downtempo, hazy, percussive Deep House. The sun beamed and quite frankly there’s no other way we’d rather have spent the most summery of Sunday nights.

Alex washed the library with an afternoon of musical brilliance with his modern interpretation of the classical jazz format into gentle house sounds in this one-of-a-kind performance. Famed for his live compositions, Alex entwined the live recorded sounds of Byron Bay’s Wategos Beach into his unique SUN-SET. Crashing waves, trickling water, a light breeze, chirping birds and the most natural musical extension to The Sunseeker’s ethos of connecting and blending effortlessly with our local environment.

Combining rich field recordings and hypnotic instrumentation, Alex’s show was instantly warm and welcoming. Percussive elements and powerful drum patterns sat amongst perfectly executed melodies and dusky atmospheres - perfectly suited to the orange hues and purple hints on the summer sunset that evening. Alex is purposeful and precise with his approach, with every element completeky additive to the last. A moment of organic evlution that disappears as qucikly as it came into existence; peaking into a glowing embrace that will undoubtedly left an impression.

Recommended as a complete listen.
